TWILIGHT TILL DAWN

Laying on the bed, deep in thought about what to write, my mind wandered and then it hit me – it wasn’t so far from my reach, I exhale and then I screamed “EUREKA!” Finally, it had come to me; I was going to revisit the issue of sexual abuse, you can never get enough of this topic, it is everywhere, staring us right in the face and looming over our heads. My thoughts were inundated with this, and I couldn’t shake the ugly feeling that if I didn’t talk this through, something terrible might happen.
Of course you are thinking here we go again, another person is at it, blaming everyone and no one… well, what can I say but I do not follow the sect that do that, in fact, I love to indulge in the unfamiliar; instead of pointing accusing fingers, I’m here to stand up for the accused not that I am condoning their behavior ‘au contraire’ but then a little soul searching might help.
It is so easy to blame the offender in this case, and in most cases, men are said to be at the receiving end even when a woman is the offender. I find it hard to believe that blaming people is that easy. Often times, the man is proven guilty even while innocent because no matter how much he is favored by the judge or members of the jury that ruled on the case; he would still wear the cloak of shame because outsiders would not let him be.
It takes two to tango, well so goes the saying, it is a very hard nut to crack that this clause is in use and one party still gets all the blame. Have you ever taken the time to imagine the tango? When two lovers are involved in the most exotic and sensual of dances that are available to mankind’ they become grossly involved that the whole world is filtered and relegated to the background. It’s like no one exists. So next time you say those words just try to imagine what it is like.
I’m sure a lot of people would hate me right now, well so much for truthfulness. I am in no way in sync with the perverts or sociopaths but for those that brought this dastardly act upon themselves, I can only say you got what you ask.
I am on the side of people who have been blamed regardless of being faultless, I do not seek to gratify their act but I question why they are the only ones in the blame game and under scrutiny. Be it whether it is a case of straight versus straight or gay; or vice versa, there is no smoke without fire. You want to tease a man or a woman; well, go ahead but be ready for the consequences. Be ready for the danger that lurks ahead.
Why would you start what you can’t finish or indulge in something that will result in pain. You don’t have an idea of who this person is, and you decide to tease him or her? Gosh, what the heck is wrong with the world? It will get to a time that because a lot of people get what they deserve in this assault cases that there would be none to rule over. It would just be another day in court and not justice being served.
“Thou shalt not tempt”, that is the 1st commandment of assault cases, in no wise should weaggravate or instigate someone to act in beastly manners. It starts from little things like not sitting properly or wearing the most provocative of all dresses, even the fragrance you wear that tends to be too much, yes that… it is an instigator of something lethal.
So what do we say to ourselves, are we justified? Are we really? We want to look good but must we sell our bodies for that purpose? Must we be bruised and battered to be able to gain freedom? A lot is at stake here, and we are daily blaming ourselves because no matter who the defaulting party is, we will never remain the same again.

You have to be very selective about what you give your time and attention to in order to live the life of victory God has promised. You have to recognize which thoughts to ignore, which comments to ignore, and sometimes, which people to ignore. Every “battle” that comes across your path is not a battle that you’re supposed to fight. Many battles are simply distractions to try to lure you off course. If that battle is not between you and your God-given destiny, it’s a battle you should ignore.
Many people get thrown off course because they are always trying to straighten everyone else out or win their approval. If that’s your focus, you are wasting valuable time and energy that you should be using to pursue your dreams. Turn away from that distraction! You don’t need the approval of everyone around you; you only need God’s approval!
Friend, it’s very freeing when you realize you don’t have to fight every battle. You don’t have to straighten people out. You don’t have to pay somebody back. Instead, focus on what matters; focus on God and His Word so you will live in peace and happiness every day of your life!

HOW I BECAME NIGERIA'S MR BODY PERFECT!

I love the feeling i get when i walk down the street or the mall and i have loads of people starring at me! and most times i get the 'wink' and i just smile and then the girls pretend to fan themselves. At times i hear the 'whao he is hot!' , not like i intend to rhyme or anything but yeah every girl wants me and every guy wants to be me!

OK now , on a more serious note! why do girls think i am so hot?! I guess the muscles do the trick! One good thing about regular exercise is that it brings out your real body shape! So when you wear cloths , it fits and stands really firm on you. I won the Mr Body perfect award at the Mr Ideal Nigeria and i would say that title has gotten me alot more attention than i usually would have got because everyone wants to know why everyone else thinks my body is 'perfect'. One word 'exercise'

I hit the gym 5 times a week. My exercise involves both aerobic and anaerobic exercises. Aerobic exercises are those that make your heart beat faster like jogging , skipping, and running. Anaerobic are mostly with the use of weights.
My diet tends to be high in protein , low in carbs and low in fats due to the fact that i never know when my next photoshoot will take place and i want to make sure that i'm able to look my best with short notice. I always go to bed on an empty stomach in order to ensure that I'm burning fat while i sleep.
It feels so good to be in shape, and not cos of the attention i get when i step out of my house but the way i feel inside as well. I am much more confident now that i am fit, and i have alot more energy.

The equation Anaerobic exercise + Aerobic Exercise + diet = BODY PERFECT.

it involves alot of discipline as well, you wnt get the perfect body in a week , it happens over time, just take each day as it comes and you will be amazed.

Armed Robbers Invade University, Kill One...

The premises of Bowen University in Osun State on Thursday came under serious gunfire from men of the underworld who succeeded in robbing one of the banks inside the institution.  Pandemonium broke out as soon as the robbers started shooting; even as students, teaching and non-teaching staff scampered for their life.

The deadly gang operated unchallenged and escaped, living behind the dead body of a security guard. I gathered that students and staffs have deserted the institution as a result of the incident, but the state police command has asked them to return, assuring them of adequate security.

THE GAY HITCH

Tinu

Reading this, I’m sure a lot of people will think me crazy. Oh what the heck, I think ‘me’ crazy. But come to think of it, who isn’t? We are all crazy. Those moments of pure madness where we decide to burst out and do simply outrageous things to others and ourselves. I just felt a need to put down a simply disturbing thought that has been plaguing my mind. This is a very controversial, not straight to the point note, filled with annoying analogies and stupid references, I do not understand it myself but I just decided to put down my scattered thought on paper and post... For all my gay, lesbian and straight friends out there; forgive me for this haphazardly crazy write up or maybe not. Hmmm ... an interestingly controversial topic, it has its benefits but just like having ‘the seven year hitch’ with a heterosexual partner, you also have the ‘gay hitch’. It is not every day that one gets to be in tune with the ‘gay’ world. Not trying to cast aspersions I have seen that from this sect, there always seem to be an underlying tension that surrounds them. I have over the years experienced both sides of the coin being a victim myself, and I can say with all confidence that I have noticed overtime that the level of selflessness is more highly rated in a heterosexual relationship. I have not yet understood the reason behind this rationale, but from my standpoint I have been made to realise that more of the gay people out there always have this constant need for reassurance and because of this, it has developed into a cycle of ‘winner takes all’. To my knowledge, it seems to me that it stems from the un-acceptance of their lifestyle from most of the world. The fact that they are not allowed the things that the normal sexual orientation are entitled to. I do not totally support the fact that a man is allowed to have a man; or a woman making love to a woman, but the fact is most of us in all honesty; have sacredly disillusioned the whole idea of having a relationship in the first place. Most gay people want what straight people want, which is intimacy and truthfulness in a relationship. The fact that some of them have seen the institution of marriage as fraudulent is another reason they decided to be gay in the first place thinking that I can have a partner and not be saddled with the thought of marriage. Some even support the ban on gay rights to be married so that they can just remain the way they are; anonymous but still enjoying intimacy. The rationale I had when I chose to become lesbian at some point in my life was the fact that it was far better than the normal how-be-it-pretense-filled relationship of our day and time. I didn’t understand then why everyone had to be in a relationship that someone lied or cheated or worse. So I decided I’d rather be a ‘possessive-bitchy-lesbian’ than a normal heterosexual female waiting to be devoured by the next lying cheating man that came along. That was then, now I have a new thinking. Like it’s said in the Bible ‘old things passed away’, I became new. But still in the new process, I found out that I don’t entirely blame these groups. I mean it may be essentially wrong but let’s look at it, a lie’s a lie’s a lie. May not make sense but the truth is the same way that people lie, people kill. I mean look at it the same God that wanted to burn down Sodom and Gomorrah for their homosexual practices is the same God who allowed Israel (his special people) to be captured for worshipping other gods, and in turn having unholy relationships with their women. There is no division to all these, it all comes down to what the body wants from you. To lie, steal, to have a relationship with a girl or a man, to fornicate. Oh well! Who can blame them, no one can. I found it completely hideous that people judge these people for being the way they are, when it’s a completely personal decision. I mean, look at it, the fact that they hold back from exposing themselves to friends and family is enough torture for them, and so why put them in more misery by pointing fingers. It is still a shock to most parents who raised their kids to be godly to accept them when they say ‘hey ma, I’m gay’. Well, you can hear pins drop in the silence that ensures. I was watching the movie ‘wedding dates’ where it was a classic case of brother is gay but I don’t accept him that way, and I am not but I sleep with my fiancée before marriage. Seriously, what’s the difference? You judge them, they judge you. There is a reason why judging doesn’t correspond with God because acceptance always leads to forgiveness then change, but without it, there is only guilt, rebellion and more guilt. It’s the gay hitch y’all, let them be, give them space, it’s them with their Creator not you as their Creator. I am not God’s mouthpiece but I think if God were to decide punishments, the people who judged would be whooped more than any other sinner ever. It is just the law of Karma, and I remember pondering on the thought of my senior pastor in church when he spoke on ‘SEX’ in church; he said and I paraphrase “For those of you who condemn people that live sinful lives or have same sex partners, be warned that soon the sin would be on your doorstep”. Not that he accepted it as a way of life or agreed to the fact that they are born that way (which by the way makes absolutely no sense to me); but he just pointed out to the fact that judging never paid off.
I believe as opposed to the notion of being born the way you are, I think you choose to the live the way you do. You are born either a male or female but anything after that is based on the decisions or choices that you or your parents made before you could make decisions on your own. Gay or straight no judgment here, just that you have to choose your paths wisely and examine your decisions from time to time; and for the gays that can’t do without being possessive, ease up a little, your partner is all yours, no need to get your pants up in a twist. I think my not so coherent thoughts come to an end here.

lots of luv,

Tinu

Christopher Bailey took the Prorsum collections to  London fashion week and added more tribal touches to the African inspired print look. As Burberry is known for their signature trench coats it sure was not neglected in this collections, bold prints are seen throughout in amongst teals, yellow and blue colours. The look was completed with oversized clutch bags and gorgeous wedge heels. African print style is definitely going to be one of the trends to look out for in 2012!

YEWANDE ADEKOYA:  NIGERIA'S NEXT FUNKE AKINDELE ?

Yewande, CEO EDNAWAY PRODUCTIONS

I am really not a big fan of yoruba movies because i have a feeling watching them will make me razzer than i already am, as i am easily influenced by words in movies. After watching the movie Jenifer , i could barely speak English for a few weeks and always ending all my sentences with 'you know , as in , is like', it was a very terrible time for me! but guess what ? i still went on watching Jenifer over and over again and i cant wait for Jenifer 3 to be out and am sure this time my sentences will end with 'looks , we are flying on a fast tracks'.
With her hit movie IGBO DUDU , i began to wonder whether Yewande could steal everyone's attention just like Funke Akindele after her hit movie Jennifer. Yewande is one producer whose movies i always love to watch,. She started with life secret, a drama series which i tune in to watch at work (Ministry of health) while i was serving my country, and as a corper there was nothing else to do than gist with the old women at work. so it went like this: we ate moi moi and we watched life secret! all of us glued to the TV and the women raining curses on the man that always cheated on his wife and of cause the women would relate it to true life experiences and before you know it , its 4pm and we back our empty bowls of moi moi and head home. Life secret made our day. it was an amazing time in my life! but now i am so fabulous i cant even say moi moi!
In June , she released a new movie IGBO DUDU, one word A M A Z I N G. the movie is so cool, loads of strong yoruba words but the film in simple sentence 'makes sense'.

Igbo dudu, a movie about a man with two wives who got pregnant at the same time , one destined to be far greater than the other and of course jealously comes in with the wives wondering whose child it is gonna be , dnt let me spoil the fun! you have to grab a copy and watch what happens! you wnt regret it.

I heard she is working on a new movie omo elemuso and i have been searching and searching for the trailer of the movie! and i found something

So what do you think ? is Yewande going to be the next best thing in Nigeria's movie industry ? i would defo say a big YES. Although , my season of moi moi and cashews are over , my season of cavir and chicken salads just started and what better way to feed your eyes than with a Yewande Adekoya movie.
